Veal Parmesan for Phase 3

Ingredients: Veal Parmesan

  • 150 grams of lean veal (rich in protein)
  • n

  • ¼ teaspoon of dried oregano
  • n

  • 8 ounces of tomato sauce
  • n

  • ⅛ tsp fine sea salt
  • n

  • ⅛ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • n

  • 1 Grissini breadstick
  • n

Cooking Instructions:

  • Trim any visible fat off the meat.
  • n

  • Season both sides of the veal with fine sea salt and black pepper.
  • n

  • Preheat a non-stick pan or grill to medium heat.
  • n

  • When the pan or grill is warm add the veal.
  • n

  • Once the veal is ready flip and allows the other sides to sear.
  • n

  • Continue to cook until the meat has reached an internal temperature. You can cook it for medium rare, medium, and well done.
  • n

  • Place a small pot on the stove over medium heat, while the veal is cooking.
  • n

  • Add the tomato sauce, basil, and oregano and stir well.
  • n

  • Once the veal is cooked, pour the tomato sauce over the veal.
  • n

  • Place a Grissini breadstick into a zip-top bag and crush until it is the consistency of breadcrumbs.
  • n

  • Sprinkle the crushed Grissini breadstick on top and serve warm.

Lemon and Fish on Lettuce

Fish meat is a protein cut you can have in the second phase of the HCG diet. Being a rich source of protein, fish meat is considered good in terms of losing weight. While fish is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids too, which provides satiety and helps to cut down on food cravings and your indulgence is less for unhealthy food.nnIngredients:n

  • 100 grams of fresh white fish

  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • n

  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • n

  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • n

  • ⅛ tsp sea salt
  • n

  • ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • n

nCooking Instructions:n

  • Cut a large, square sheet of aluminum foil, lay it out flat, and place your raw fish in the center.
  • n

  • Combine 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice, oregano, sea salt, and pepper in a small bowl and stir well.
  • n

  • Pour the lemon juice and spice mixture over the fish.
  • n

  • Fold up the edges of the aluminum foil and seal the foil.
  • n

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • n

  • Bake the fish at 400 degrees for 10-20 minutes or until the fish flakes.
  • n

  • Cut the lettuce into large pieces.
  • n

  • Place lettuce on a serving plate, top with cooked fish, and pour the other 1 tablespoon of lemon juice on top.

Spinach Basil Pesto for Phase 2

Spinach basil pesto is a protein and fiber-rich meal for HCG diet phase 2. Each cup of spinach contains a gram of protein which helps maintain satiety. Fiber, on the other hand, plays a big role in a diet as it reduces cholesterol levels and aids in achieving a healthy weight. You can also have this recipe in case you experience constipation during the VLCD phase.nIngredients:n• A cup of baby spinachn• A handful of fresh basiln• 3 fresh garlic clovesn• 1 ½ tablespoon of apple cider vinegarn• 1 freshly squeezed lemon juicen• ¼ teaspoon of oreganon• Seasalt and black peppern• 100 grams of lean chicken meatnCooking Instructions:n• Place the apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, oregano, sea salt, and pepper into a small bowl. Stir or whisk until well combined, and set aside.n• Place the spinach, fresh basil, and garlic cloves into a food processor to chop.n• Slowly add the vinegar and lemon juice mixture while the food processor or blender is running.n• Stop and scrape the edges of the container to get all the pesto mixture towards the bottom.nn• Pulse a few more times until it becomes a paste-like texture.n• Trim any visible fat from the chicken meat. Season the chicken meat with approved HCG spices.n• Grill or bake the chicken but avoid putting oils or fat.n• Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.n• Place the cooked chicken breast on top of the spinach pesto.
