Sweet Tooth Cravings on the HCG Diet

We all crave for foods. We crave for carbs, salty, savory rich foods and sweets like chocolate. An occasional indulgence is necessary but not on the HCG Diet.   2. Keep your blood sugar level under control. This can prevent spikes making your sugar cravings unbearable.  Eat protein-rich foods, healthy fat and carbohydrates a day. Avoid beverages and snacks loaded with sugar prior to beginning the diet. Without sugar in your system, your cravings won’t be as difficult to battle.
  3. Avoid starchy and sugar rich-foods prior to your diet. If your diet was high in sugar prior to loading days, you can expect to experience cravings.
  4. Spice up your meal with flavorful herbs like coriander, cloves and cardamom. These spices can eliminate the feeling of total deprivation.
  5. Use sugar substitute for your morning coffee like Stevia. A small amount of sugar alternative is permitted on the HCG Diet.
  6. You can break up your meal and use your fruit option when you crave for sugar. Breaking up your meals on the HCG diet is permitted. You can eat your fruit options as a mid-afternoon snack or as a late-night snack.
  7. Cravings usually last for 10 to 20 minutes whether it’s sugar or not. Knowing when your cravings will stop will help you overcome your desire for sweet treats.

A tasty-licious pumpkin pie that you can make for fifteen minutes simply by combining all the ingredients in a microwave-safe pie plate:

Ingredients

1¾ cup canned pumpkin

2 tsp. of cinnamon

1 cup fat-free milk

2 eggs

½ tsp. of nutmeg

½ tsp. of ginger

1 cup no-calorie sweetener (measures like sugar)

Instructions

  1. Beat all the ingredients with a whisk then microwave on high uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes. Check halfway through cooking.
  2. Remove the pie from the microwave oven when the outside edges start to pull away from the pie plate.
  3. . Set it aside for 5 minutes to finish cooking.
  4. Cut the pie into pieces and serve warm or cold.

No Crust Pumpkin Pie has just 62 calories per serving. It has 4.3 grams of sugar, 7 grams of carbohydrates, and three grams of fiber and one gram of fat.

Strawberries and Chocolate

Give your sweet tooth a delicious concoction of chocolate and strawberries.

Ingredients

Strawberries

1½ tbsp. of cocoa powder

1 tbsp. virgin coconut oil

Stevia to taste

Almond, peppermint extract or vanilla (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp. of virgin coconut oil in a pan over low heat.
  2. Add 1½ tbsp. of cocoa powder. Gently stir to combine.
  3. Add stevia to taste your liking.
  4. Dip the strawberries into the mixture. Lay them after on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate or freeze.
  6. You can add some chopped nuts, almonds or flavor extract like peppermint or vanilla to the chocolate to spice things up a bit.

Bread-Crusted Chicken Breast

Ingredients

1-part Parmesan cheese

1-part almond meal

Your favorite herbs or spices

Chicken breasts

Finely-chopped walnuts, peanuts, or almonds, optional

  1. Combine one-part Parmesan cheese and one-part almond meal.
  2. Coat the chicken breasts in the mixture.
  3. Fry or bake as usual.
  4. Add your favorite herbs and spices to the mix if you want to get creative. You may also add some finely-chopped peanuts, walnuts, or almonds.

 

HCG Diet Detox Bath

One of the most popular things dieter do during the P2 of the HCG Diet is a detox bath. Taking a warm bath is a great way to relax your body, to wind down and perhaps get through a plateau.

Hot Detox Bath

You need…
